“It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity.”

Classic Romances and a Mocha
It’s Sunday morning. Cold! Present temperature is -5 degrees. Our second day of sub-zero temperatures. The high yesterday was only 6 degrees. As I parked the car at the curb in front of the Bean Cycle I questioned my sanity. Oh, well the mocha and Leslie’s and Carly’s smiles are worth it.
The Bean Cycle shares their space with Wolverine Press, a used book store and a local publishing company. I’ve shared images from the bookshelves at Wolverine Press before. I come down here to relax with a cup of coffee or a mocha, maybe write or use the internet and wander through the used books. I enjoy sitting in the loft and look down on the regulars, even in this cold. By patronizing a favorite coffeehouse I establish a connection with the baristas and other patrons. They become an extended family. Therefore my insanity. 🙂

Leaving Town
We’ve decided it’s too cold to stay here in Colorado so my sister, Sheree, and I are flying to Phoenix today for Thanksgiving with family. The only electronic devices will be my phone, Kindle reader and the X-T10 with 27mm and 35mm. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A New Fountain Pen
My new fountain pen is a white Pilot Prera with a medium nib and filled with Diamine Ochre ink. The ink is a nice milk chocolate color and I think works will with my cream colored pages in my Moleskin journal. Not that there are any special words in this pen but the desire to write more is there. Oh, and included in this image is a favorite of mine, a mocha latte, which matches the ink also.

Sunday Morning
It’s Sunday morning in Fort Collins. Start the day with meditation. Make and enjoy my latte. Watch sunrise from my window. Take a refreshing walk in Old Town. It’s 8:40. Temperature is 46 degrees. Streets are empty. My coat keeps me warm. Hands are in my coat pockets. Camera is around my neck. I breathe and stay present, accepting whatever image is given.
