Tough work? Yeah, right! Sounds like the beginnings of an interesting music video. I’m thinking … girls in chaps, limousines, bottles of champagne, Monte, and … 😉

… and more girls!! Well, in my case mature women. 🙂 Actually it was tough work. I was a greenhorn with off camera flash and really did not do a very good job. I had a tough time getting the firls to relax and just be themselves except for a couple of them. But what a learning experience.

Yeah, this is tough work! But seriously, portraits are the hardest part of photography for me, and the most demanding. The folks that love to do portraits and do them all the time have developed the necessary skills to do the job right, but it still ain’t easy.

We do need to be people oriented. It’s important for them and us to be relaxed. Otherwise, we will not bring out the personality of the model. And, yes we do have to have the craft down, know how to use reflectors and lights. It comes down to practice.
