A couple years ago my youngest sister, Sheree, started playing in the dirt. By that I mean she became obsessed with transforming her yard into her sanctuary. She has done an awesome job. It’s been therapy and a new field of study for her. She has built porches, flag stone walkways and arbors. She knows each plant and flower, talks to them as she weeds. This Clematis, growing on one of the lattices, was taken in her back yard.

The Clematis is beautiful. We had them in our other home but we need to make a little place for them to clime here. This one’s gorgeous.

Thanks, Ken. Since I live in a condo I don’t have a place for a garden so I’ll have to get my fix at my sisters.

The wild forms of clematis have fine fluffy seeds that spread by being blown by the wind. Autumn clematis is an example of a wild form of clematis. Now those large flowering types of clematis, that have the big waterlily type blooms, are hybrids which are sterile and don’t produce viable seeds.
