The patio is empty on a Sunday afternoon which helped me with this image. With all the lines in this image I think having people standing around would have distracted from the image.

Very nice, lots of leading lines and counterpoint. I think a few people might be OK depending on where they were located and what they were doing. But having no one in the frame really accentuates the emptiness.
