When we know ourselves to be connected to all others,

acting compassionately is simply the natural thing to do.
Yesterday evening I headed to Reservoir Ridge Natural Area to journal, watch the eerie look to the sky, Maybe find a photo and breathe in the smoke. All tasks were accomplished. And the air quality this morning was very poor due to the smoke and fossil fuel pollutants, red zone in fact. Warnings were out for those with breathing issues. The warnings have come down some but still warning us that it is unhealthy for sensitive groups. If my memory serves me, we did not experience this type of air quality when I was younger.

Terrible for one’s health and the environment, but it does lend an attractive peach color to the sky. Trying to find that silver lining.

Yes, I was noticing how it affected my throat. I couldn’t hit the high notes while taking a shower. I did not correlate the color peach with this scene until you mentioned it, but you are correct. And, yes, there is a silver lining in this scene.

It looks ominous and yet beautiful too.

Yes it does look ominous and beautiful. The skies were much clearer yesterday and today.

We’ve had smoke here from Canada and the comments about demanding Canada to stop it are a bit maddening.

It’s rather frightening to realize that there are people that think that way. But then again we are a society that thinks we should be able to control everything. The last couple days, we have had some nice wind, which has helped reduce it for us. I hope you are taking care of yourself.
