If we want to turn over a new leaf and really set a new humanity afoot, we must begin to turn humankind away from the long and desolate night of violence. May it not be that the new humanity the world needs is the nonviolent human?… This not only will make us new people but will give us a new kind of power…. It will be power infused with love and justice, that will change dark yesterday’s into bright tomorrows, and lift us from the fatigue of despair to the buoyancy of hope.
Martin Luther King

Beautiful! We can only hope.

So very true. That’s the role for many of us.

I thought we might be on that journey, but I believe MLK did not foresee the situation we are in, where today is darker than yesterday and tomorrow could be even darker than today. But I do believe eventually the pendulum will swing back the other way. Have a good weekend my friend!
The scene in the photo appears to be a good opportunity to capture a few thoughts with pen on paper. ~smile~

I also believe in the pendulum and that is where my hope lies. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

My hope is that MLK’s words prove to be prophetic.

Yes, I believe a lot of people have the same hope.
