“There are only two kinds of people in the world. Those who are alive and those who are afraid.”
Rachel Naomi Remen
Interesting how two maple trees about 50 feet apart can have such different fall colors. The maple tree in the building next to me has red leaves but almost all of them are fringed in brown. I assume due to the drought conditions. While the tree next to my mailbox has rich red colored leaves and almost no brown fringe. I will never understand nature but then that’s the mystery of nature. May I just be alive to her mystery. It is a beautiful day here in Colorado, blue sky and sunshine. However, colder weather is expected over the next few days. Enjoy your weekend!

Love the quote. Bonnie and I were talking about that same strange leaf-changing phenomenon this morning while we were out walking. We thought it might be partly drought-related, but spring here seemed to start in February this year, so who knows; that may have some influence too. Clear blue sky with a high barely reaching 70; a joy to be outside in. Enjoy your weekend as well, Monte!

I was just sitting in my chair in my bedroom, looking at the window and watching leaves fall. I am enjoying the blue skies and sunshine. It is now 80 degrees here. Yes it’s a joy to be outside!
