Well this weekend is the graduation marathon, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The clocks on student loans are starting. She can’t even afford shoes.

Schools Almost Over
Classes are coming to a close at CSU. Finals next week and graduations the following week, May 10th. It will be much quieter around here and also on campus.

A Casual Shot
Good morning. Hoping all is well with everyone. Have an appointment this morning with a surgeon for cataract surgery I now need. There has always been a fear when I think about the possibility of losing my eyesight. So many core activities in my life are based around my eyes: reading, journaling, photography, blogging, driving and the beauty of this world.
This is an image from a short and quick session I did this past week for a photo Dan needed on the website he is working on. He wanted some casual shots for customers to see.

His backpack is checkered Today’s weather has been beautiful. Gorgeous red sunrise to start it off. We are expecting mid 70’s today but winter returns tomorrow with only a high of 45 and a nighttime low near freezing. We will see frost on windshields. End of weather report!
After quiet time and meditation it was a bus ride and walk to Mugs. Had this young man pass me on the way home and just had to get an image of his backpack. I could see a series of images just of backpacks. Enjoy your week!

Studying or Watching Movie?
Student at Lory Student Center They are painting my condo, so I’m spending more time away, out of their way. Don’t want to accidentally find a paint brush in my hand. Classes are back in session so students are all over the place. Not sure if I’m getting more critical in my mature years or if the freshmen girls shorts are getting short. The correct answer is probably both! Have to ask if he’s watching something associated with a class or a movie he started last night? Anyway he’s relaxed.

I’ll buy next time
Alex It feels like summer. Temperatures have been in the 90’s for several days. However, I’m thankful there is no humidity and the nighttime temperatures cool us off. The cool nights and mornings are a plus for living in Colorado.
I have for some time now wanted to take more black and white portraits. Actually, I have been taking more black and white images. Yesterday, a friend and I went downtown to Mugs for one of their chocolate eclairs. Let me tell you they are the best and made locally. 🙂 Anyway, as we sat outside I took a quick image of Alex then asked if I could. He told me no! Too late, my friend! Thanks, I’ll buy the eclairs next time.

Window Light
Beautiful Woman This beautiful young lady was working on her computer in a local coffee shop. I was drawn by her striking features and the wonderful window light on her face. I worked up the courage to ask her if I could shoot a portrait of her as she gazed out the window. Gratefully, she said yes.
