This the scene I noticed in the alley as I came out of the parking garage in Old Town. Light and shadows. Shot shot this in black and white also but preferred the color image this time.

Colors and Patterns 
More bright colors and patterns This is the side of a metal building someone has painted a mural on. It is massive in size and depicts a couple of hummingbirds that must be 10 feet tall. I am standing along the path leading to the bus stop and can’t step back any further. It was the abstract essence that called me when standing this close. Bright colors!

Shadows of students waiting at the bus stop Being present is about living where I’m at in my own shoes. I cannot live in the past or future. Being present is being awake. Acceptance. I’ve heard it said, “Reality is only experienced when we live life in the present.” May I live today in the present!

Redd’s Wicked Apple
When I began drinking in the late 60’s we had a handful of beers to choose from: Coors, Hamms, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Budwieser, Michelob and others. That’s not the case now. Go into any liquor store now a days and there are 100’s of different beers to choose from. Someone tried one of these then left it on the curb. Not sure if it was empty but thought this can made for an interesting image.

Just Painted
Newly painted lines on our street There is always something calling my attention, lines, patterns, light and shadows. As our cameras do exclude somethings due to the frame we have an opportunity to create abstracts, causing the viewer to take that second or third look. This time it was lines.
