I have been spending more time at Harmony Library to hang around the books and because I find it a good place to journal and people watch. There are several people who come in the afternoon to read the wide selection of newspapers and periodicals the library carries. They will get a coffee at the shop outside the library in the lobby then find their place inside. I spent some time there this afternoon and took this image. It is edited with the Jetpack image editor. I hope you are enjoying your day!

Even tho it’s been years since I’ve been in a proper library I remember there’s a special atmosphere about a library. Same goes for a bookstore, especially privately owned ones, and certain independent coffee shops. I can imagine it is a good place these days to people watch and journal. I like the image.
Many, many years ago there was a little used book store in Stowe, VT, that had comfortable furniture and offered coffee, tea and often homemade soup and sandwiches. Soft music was always playing and they welcomed people staying. On cold days I spent many enjoyable hours there and always left all I could afford in their tip jar. Good memories!

I’ve read where it’s a good practice to journal in various locations and different ambiances to stimulate the writing. I even include nature as a great place to journal. That book store in Stowe sounds like a place I’d enjoy hanging out in. Glad you recalled some good memories! We are no getting a nice rain shower. Smells wonderful.
