Simple Clouds

This is along Spring Creek Trail taken on my ride this morning. Just behind these trees is a 8 story Hilton Hotel as well as scattered student housing for Colorado State University and a few residential homes. This part of the bicycle path is in an open area which I hope they keep that way. You can also see some of the colors changing, otherwise we are still green. This scene caught my interest because of the simple cloud against that blue sky and the trees. May you have a wonderful weekend!

It’s okay; all of those buildings are back there, but this view is far better, and as you said, hopefully they will keep it that way. We’re catching rain from Isaisa today, which is sorely needed. Our mountains are getting a great deal of rain, but hopefully there will not be too much flooding. I just got back from walking Bentley in his little bright yellow raincoat. LOL. Mine is not nearly so colorful. Have a great weekend, my friend.

Yes, I saw that you were getting some rain. And, I must follow that up suggesting you also need a yellow raincoat! I feel this city is striving to keep open areas of nature to people to enjoy.

I walk that way regularly and feel my lungs and my heart expand to be suddenly so out in the open. So close to urban/collegiate life, and yet so free and far from the hustle and bustle of town life. More than once, as well, deer have stepped … and then leapt across the path in front of me. What light-footed joy! And for a moment, time stops and I am in their world.

I have encountered deer along this area, also. One morning I got a lovely photo back behind us and across the bridge of a large buck. I see them more on the west side of Centre Avenue than here. Along the area where the water control is I find great blue herons, pelicans, deer, and white egrets. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
